Pick Ups

Just today while I was at work, I received a surprise in the mail. I didn't even realize that Canada Post sent packages on Saturdays. Holt Renfrew had sent my Naked & Famous "Skinny Guy" jeans. Naked & Famous is a Canadian denim brand who focuses more on making high quality denim without focusing on branding. They are quite affordable for being raw selvedge denim. They are praised for their cuts and denim quality but are known to be difficult to fade nicely, I plan on wearing these jeans often as long as the weather is not mucky. Tonight while hanging out with friends I had already began doing obscure and strange movements in hopes of them expanding quickly.

Just a Taste: Fuzion

Today I went for a late lunch at Fuzion with Aashna. Fuzion is a deli sushi bar, where you can order items such as bubble tea, rice/noodle bowls and of course sushi. The owners are friends of the family and they always provide great service. The menu is priced pretty well, with daily specials. Together we ordered California rolls, Dynamite rolls, Teriyaki noodle bowl with chicken and Red Thai rice bowl with beef. The portions were large and delicious. I plan on visiting Fuzion more often from now on.

First Video

This is just a small video I made on Windows Movie Maker of me kicking a ball around in the basement. The quality reduced a lot because of Windows Movie Maker, as well as the quality of my juggling going a bit down hill as well. I hope to get better at putting these videos together, it should get easier as soon as I get a program for it. Enjoy.

Wishlist

Recently I have been looking at Herschel Supply bags, they all have a great campus look. This is the one I want.
The black canvas Pop Quiz bag has a 15" laptop compartment and a front compartment that I can fit my snacks and goodies inside of. As of last week, Momentum on 8th Street received them. Now instead of going to buy mine in Edmonton, I am able to pick it up here in Saskatoon.

Yonkers - Tyler, The Creator

Yeah we up on that OFWGKTA. Tyler directed this video and it's true to Wolf Gang standards: disturbing. Creatively, no other is doing it like he is.

Me Biting Jake Davis

I bought a tripod yesterday for my camera because -- ironically -- I don't take pictures with it. I use it primarily for videos and after my first completed edit I realized panning with my SUPER dexterous hands is a bad look. So this is just me messing around in my almost newly renovated basement (thank you floods). This is something I wouldn't even consider a hobby. Film and I are merely acquaintances haha. I am so suave..

check out Jake Davis Test Shots to see where the concept of this video is taken from

Levi's

This is a peek at the denim I like to wear all year. Ever since high school I have been wearing Levi's. My collection of Levi's consists of shrink to fit 501's and 511's. I like the fits they provide and the quality is great. Every now and then, I know you are able to find Levi 501's (straight leg) for about $35 on sale at Sear's or The Bay. Now I really only cycle through different pair's of Levi 511's, a skinny fit but is sometimes a slim fit on others. This is just the sight that you would get if you were to look in my closet.

In Rasta We Trust

Last night the staff of Momentum and close friends went to both Bacchus and the Churchill Cellar (beneath Winston's) to go to In Rasta We Trust and celebrate a birthday. As usual Bacchus was good, a great atmosphere every time. For supper I had to go with Tyler's suggestion, chili chicken on a bed of jasmine rice. This was good, the rice had been made with a coconut milk I believe. After birthday shots and dinner we headed off to In Rasta We Trust.
We went to the event as soon as it started so it was very quiet. The lights were dim setting the relaxing mood, but as the night went on more lights were shut off. As soon as Dr. J and other DJ's began playing, everyone started to dance and the little areas began to become congested and cluttered. There was some good reggae music being played and the crowd was good, everyone was into the dancing and having a great time.I spent my time socializing with friends and drinking Red Stripe, as planned. Here are more photo's to help summarize the night.

This is my first "What did you wear today" ever to be put on Hypebeast, hopefully I don't get flamed too hard. Just a regular day on campus to buy some text books and thought I would take a quick photo.

Just a Taste: New Ki Sum Cafe

Years and years ago I used to go with my dad's side of the family to the old Ki Sum Bakery located on 20th street. I recently heard that it had been moved to 8th Street by JYSK. When I went there I found out that they've been located there for almost a year. The New Ki Sum Cafe is a small Chinese restaurant with a large menu, it's as if I am eating Chinese food in another city.

You are able to order Asian beverages such as bubble tea, horlick, red bean drinks and Vietnamese iced coffee. This is the only Chinese bakery in the city that I can think of providing curry buns, BBQ pork buns, coconut buns and a few more. It took a while to order because of the large menu, prices are reasonable for the portion sizes. The service was great, food was prepared quickly and staff was very friendly. If you are going with just one person or a small group, visit the the Ki Sum Cafe!

Happy Chinese New Years!

This year is the year of the rabbit. I know in Saskatoon there is, or used to be a parade with tons of fire crackers and dragon dances. The festival lasts for 15 days, this year try to celebrate with some Chinese food with friends and family! I have already received my first hoong bao or li si (red envelope) of the year which contains money from adults or elders.

Also Stussy x Clot released a firecracker t-shirt in celebration of Chinese New Years (pictures via Hypebeast).
